This 6-story laboratory building provides research space for the UCLA Departments of Cardiology, Digestive Diseases, Orthopedic Surgery, Pathology, Diabetes, Infectious Diseases and Surgical Sciences. In addition, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute occupies 2 entire floors. After a year of construction, The JCM Group was selected to restructure the management of the project. The JCM Group developed a viable project delivery system, redefined the roles of the owner and contractor, resolved all outstanding claims and brought the project back on schedule and budget.
